photo-mountain with lakeThis website is designed to provide you with the resources you will need to be successful in the legal business. You learned the substantive law in law school. Now it is the time to learn how to establish yourself in practice or to update your approach to building your business. I have 15 years of experience mentoring students and grads how to succeed in the business of law. I come to this knowledge by way of a diverse background in business and legal practice. Although I currently teach full-time and have been employed in this manner for 18 years, I have also have extensive practice experience in criminal defense, elderlaw and estate planning. But my experience in business and marketing plays a very important role in my ability to help others succeed where many fail.

This will be a forum in which select contributors, as well as myself, will provide information which gives you a "leg up" over the competition and will add to your arsenal of weapons to stay current and ahead of the competition as legal marketing and management changes rapidly with technology and new competitive models emerging almost daily.

Why me and why this website? Me because I have been engaged in counseling students to go solo before it was popular. I have been developing strategies for successful competition for over 18 years. As past Chair of the state Bar Law Practice Management Section, as Chair of our school's GPSolo Concentration and as advisor to thousands of students before graduation I have gained insight into what works and what does't.  Why this website? Because I will do the work of reviewing and consolidating the vast amount of material that is published everyday to allow you to spend your valuable time applying those principles that work to help make you profitable. My primary goal is to help you become successful financially as I find that those attorneys are the ones that give back to their communities and provide legal services to those that would not have access otherwise.

So, hang on to your hats and follow along as I steer you down the path of success!
