Save 95% of Your Computer Capacity

The ABA TechShow is not to be missed if you wish to stay abreast of trends and opportunities in technology. At the last session of the TechShow, “60 in 60” tips in one hour, the presenters offer some great tech tips. One that I found very useful is OneTab.

OneTab is a Google Chrome extension which you can add very easily to reduce the number of tabs that you have open without losing your place or rapid ability to restore them. A small icon in the upper right-hand corner of your browser controls all of them freeing up space in your computer.

It will allow you to take the list that is abbreviated and share it with others if you wish. For instance, if you are like me, I frequently open tabs to visit other url’s when in search of certain information.  As I open up additional tabs, the computer slows down to accommodate the additional memory and RAM necessary to keep them active. By converting them to this extension, they are abbreviated and this helps your computer boot up quicker and operate more efficiently. Go https://www.one-tab.com/  for additional details.  In the developer’s own words, it:

[L]ets you easily export and import your tabs as a list of URLs. You can also create a web page from your list of tabs, so that you can easily share your tabs with other people, other computers, or with your smartphone or tablet.

In addition:

You can drag and drop tabs in your OneTab list to reorder them. You can also hold down the Ctrl or Cmd key while restoring tabs and they will remain in your OneTab list (meaning you can use OneTab as a way of quickly launching a set of commonly used tabs). OneTab supports retina displays. Note that OneTab is designed to leave in place any ‘pinned’ tabs you have.

And:

You will not lose your list of tabs if you accidentally close the OneTab window, if your browser crashes, or if restart your computer.

Try it. I think you will find this to be a very useful tool.
