Amazing Apps and Websites

This will be a continuing series called “Three Apps” which I will post for your review on an ongoing basis. Most of these, I learned about at the ABA TechShow this year. First, I will check them out to see if they have merit. I am not getting fees or other promotional consideration for any of these. 1. Virus Total

VirusTotal is the best online virus scanner because in addition to scanning URLs and files against several different antivirus engines, it can also be used over email or from a desktop to scan running processes.

Over 40 different antivirus engines are used to scan files sent to VirusTotal, which means several different perspectives are used to determine whether or not a file is malicious.

2. Print Friendly

This is available for all browsers. For instance, for Chrome, these are the instructions to add it to your browser with an icon. When you click on it, it will bring up the page in a format that you can edit. You can edit the webpage, delete photos and for any section of that page that you place your cursor, it will allow you to delete it. It will also allow you to resize the type on the page. You can then save it as a pdf and email or save it as modified. Instructions are simple and copied below:

1. Click the button button above to add the PrintFriendly & PDF extension to Chrome.

2. When you want to print a webpage, click the “Print Friendly” button in your Extensions Toolbar.
